Serifos Pleiades

SERIFOS is situated in the western Cyclades,between Kythnos and Sifnos.
According to the mythology it is not only connected  to two of the most important heroes,Odysseus and Perseus,but also it is considered that Cyclops lived in its caves.
It is 73 n.m. away from Piraeus,with which is connected daily.
The travel lasts 4:30 hours with a conventional boat,while with a high speed one 2:30 hours.
With an extent of 74km,a diameter of 10 km,a coastline legth of 83km and an almost round shape,Serifos is an island in which you could return every summertime to discover something new each time since it is famous for its frugal beauty and the imposing landscape.It is also known for:

• the picturesque chapels,the trails,the dovecotes,the "krasokelia"(wine celars)and the "mitata" which are isolated buildings made of the local stone and are used by farmers for as long as necessary to finish their works in the fields and also as storage areas
